"Checkers"
"Checkers" is a great all-around gelding that is a lot of fun. He has been lightly shown in the hackamore cow horse classes and we are excited to start showing him in the bridle classes. He is out of a super mare that has 300 AQHA points in multiple events. Just like most of our horses here at Huzzah Valley, we have bred and raised this fine colt and use him every day on the ranch also. He has also been started in the heeling. AQHA Incentive fund.
As of November 2009 "Checkers" won the prelims at the AQHA World show in Am. Cowhorse(rein-215.5 cow-218) and ended up 3rd overall receiving $2800 and a bronze trophy(rein-217 cow-214). I am so excited about this fine gelding. He is a pleasure to be around and to show. If you want to get serious about competing and winning this gelding will take you there in no time. He has already proven himself!!!
